Storage of glassware
Glassware should be stored in separate categories for easy access.
After cleaning, the pipette should be placed in a dust-proof box.
After the burette is used up, wash away the solution in memory, rinse with pure water and then fill with pure water, cover with a short glass test tube or plastic sleeve, and clamp it on the burette clamp.
Wash the cuvette after use, put filter paper on a small porcelain plate or plastic plate, invert it to dry and put it in the cuvette box or clean utensils.
Glass instruments with ground stoppers, such as volumetric flasks, colorimetric tubes, etc., need to be tied to the stopper with a string or plastic filament before cleaning to avoid breaking the stopper or confusion. For grinding instruments that need to be stored for a long time, a piece of paper should be placed between the plug and the grinding mouth to avoid sticking for a long time. For burettes that are not used for a long time, the Vaseline should be removed, put on paper and fasten the piston with a rubber band for storage. If there is sand between the grinding plugs, do not turn it hard, and do not scrub the grinding mouth with decontamination powder, so as not to reduce its accuracy.
Complete sets of instruments such as Soxhlet extractors, gas analyzers, etc., should be washed immediately after use, and stored in special boxes.
