Common detergents for glassware
For different sticky dirt on the glass, use the corresponding detergent to wash, and the glass instruments can be effectively cleaned by chemical or physical methods. It should be noted that when using various detergents of different properties, it is necessary to remove the former detergent and then use another detergent to avoid interaction between them and produce more difficult to remove products.

Keep glassware dry when in use
Glass instruments often used in experiments should be cleaned and used after the experiment is completed. According to different experiments, there are different requirements for drying of glass instruments. Usually, beakers and conical flasks used in experiments can be used after cleaning. Glass instruments used for organic chemistry experiments or organic analysis require drying after cleaning.
(1) Glass instruments that are not in a hurry to dry can be placed upside down in a dust-free place after being scrubbed with pure water, and then dried naturally. Generally, glass instruments are placed upside down in a glass cabinet.
(2) Pour out the pure water in the cleaned glassware as much as possible, and dry it in an electric oven with a blower. The oven temperature was kept at 105-120 °C for about 1 h. After drying, the weighing bottle should be cooled and stored in a desiccator. Combined glass instruments need to be dried separately to avoid cracking due to different expansion coefficients. Sand core glass filter and thick-walled glass equipment must be heated slowly and the temperature should not be too high when drying, so as to avoid cracking. The drying temperature of the glass measuring device should not be too high, so as not to cause volume changes.
(3) Dry glass instruments that are small and in urgent need of drying, and can be dried with a hair dryer. First pour a small amount of ethanol, acetone (or ether) into the instrument to wet it, pour out and drain the solvent, then blow it with a hair dryer, start with cold air, and then dry the glass instrument with hot air.
